This profile is modeled after data logged from a Gaggia Classic Pro with a 9bar OPV valve. The GCP comes with a vibratory Ulka pump, it has an inverted flow to pressure relation, meaning with lower pressure, it’s flow gets higher, with that in mind, this profile has a less aggressive fill, which keeps going until it reaches it’s desired 9 bar of pressure and stays at that flat until puck degrades or weight is achieved.

With this in mind, this profile is designed to work as a traditional, high crema, mid to thick texture, so you would be aiming for a thicker extraction coming out of the portafilter, and a 30 to 35 second extraction when pulling a 1:2 ratio on a 19gr dose.
